A Project Between Writers and Filmmakers.
Moving Words is a project that opens a dialogue between writers and filmmakers, intersecting voices of diverse backgrounds and all ages. Each year 8-10 writers (chosen through submission) will have their work made into a short, experimental film crafted by student filmmakers who are inspired by the writer's work.
The films will be premiered at The QUAD Theater in the West Village, NYC with the filmmakers, coordinators and writers all in attendance.
Moving Words is an ARTS By The People project made possible by a generous grant from The Santiago Abut Foundation, in loving memory of Santiago Abut.
