The Platform, Wednesday, March 4 with host, Mel Efruss and guest Ali Longo. Ali joined the NJ poetry community in early 2015 and has since qualified for two national performance poetry teams based out of Ocean County. Ali released their first chapbook "(I'm)poster Syndro(me) in July 2017. They currently work as an Interpersonal Violence Counselor, with a focus on intersections with lgbtq identities and lived experiences, in Warren County, NJ. Ali’s poetry is not meant to exist solely in a three-minute time frame on a stage. Each piece Ali creates is meant to evoke the audience’s inner activist. They encourage you to introduce yourself and talk politics, feminism, queerness, and activist work with them at any time!
